The Card Shop

Coming soon

The card shop is built but not yet open. It opens once the card catalogue is large enough to fill a shelf. Until then the Cards screen shows no shop button. This page explains how it will work so there are no surprises on opening day.

Where it lives

When the shop opens, a Card shop button appears on the Cards screen. Tapping it opens This week's shelf: a small set of packs you can buy with FOCUS, the in-game currency you earn by playing.

Nothing is random

Every pack on the shelf shows its exact contents before you buy. You see the cards, the rarities, and the price. There is no mystery pull and no luck involved. What you see is what you get.

The packs

PackPriceWhat is inside
Standard Pack500 FOCUS6 cards, with at least one Rare or better
Club Pack750 FOCUS6 cards from your own club, with at least one card above Common
Battle Box2,500 FOCUS24 cards

A new shelf goes up every Monday. If you want something on this week's shelf, buy it before the next one replaces it.

Cards you already own

A pack may include a card that is already in your collection. That is not a wasted slot: an extra copy adds uses to the card you have, so it lasts more games before it is worn out. (Rarity & Drops → explains uses and durability.)

What the shop will never sell

  • Starter cards as plain copies. The cards you started with are never sold as-is. A Rare or Epic edition of a starter card can appear, and it carries more uses than the Common you began with.
  • Omega cards. Omega cards are never sold in the shop.
  • FOCUS. FOCUS cannot be bought, in the shop or anywhere else. You earn it by playing.

Club editions

Cards in the Club Pack are your club's edition. They carry your club's mark on the frame and one small perk that is about upkeep, never about power:

  • Bitcoinia editions carry one extra use on every copy.
  • Etheryst editions refocus for 9 FOCUS a use instead of 10.

A club edition plays exactly like the plain card. The perk is in how long it lasts or what it costs to bring back, not in what it does on the board.
