Seasonal Calendar
A ChessVS season is 13 weeks of play plus a 1-week off-season. Here's the week-by-week rhythm so you always know what's coming.
The 13-week season

The off-season week
After week 13 comes a 7-day off-season. Ranked play pauses; Blitz Arena stays live. During this week:
- Season rankings are finalised and rewards distributed.
- Card durability is processed and unplayed Gambit Cards are cleared.
- The community votes on the next season and the Omega Vault.
- New season content is deployed; the next season goes live at the end of the week.
The year-end extended off-season
Once a year, after the final season of the year, the off-season extends to two weeks instead of one. This covers the holiday period, gives time for the year retrospective, and lets the next year's roadmap be announced properly.
Tips for using the calendar
- Week 1 is the best time to grab the new collection while supply is freshest.
- Weeks 6, 9, and 12 are your tournament checkpoints — plan your deck around them.
- Don't sit on Gambit Cards — they clear in the off-season. Spend them by week 13.
- Watch the off-season vote — it decides whether the Omega Vault opens next season.
